A Zetes Case Study

Preview of the Bristol-Myers Squibb Case Study

High performance Datamatrix marking with 100% quality control at Bristol-Myers Squibb

Bristol-Myers Squibb, one of the world’s largest biopharmaceutical producers, needed to meet French legislation requiring every pharmaceutical product sold in France to carry a Datamatrix code. To do so across its high-volume production sites, the company turned to Zetes for a packaging-line solution that could handle marking, labelling, sealing, and quality control under strict performance requirements.

Zetes designed, produced, and installed 25 tailor-made machines for Bristol-Myers Squibb, combining Datamatrix marking with automated camera inspection, rejection of noncompliant codes, and inkjet coding for export products. The solution enables 100% quality control on the line, supports throughput of up to 400 containers per minute per packaging line, and centralizes data securely through a client/server architecture, while also improving legibility and reducing error risk.
