A Zetes Case Study

Preview of the DHL Case Study

DHL Solutions introduces voice as part of the company’s global best practices

DHL Solutions, part of Deutsche Post World Net, wanted to improve warehouse productivity and accuracy across its large Pan-European logistics network. At its Essen, Belgium site, the company tested whether voice technology could outperform traditional RF-based picking, and selected Zetes to implement the trial system.

Zetes deployed a voice synthesis and recognition solution for order picking, and after four months of testing DHL reported clear gains: fewer handling operations, major improvements in quality and productivity, reduced picking errors, strong user satisfaction, and a fast rollout. Following these results, DHL Solutions Belgium began exploring additional uses for Zetes’ voice technology in replenishment, storage, stock management, real-time stock monitoring, and quality control.
