GLS IT Services GmbH needed a way to optimize parcel handling at GLS ParcelShops across Germany, replacing a paper-based process that was error-prone and time-consuming. To meet an aggressive 9-week rollout deadline, GLS worked with Zetes on a mobile mobility solution that would improve efficiency at the shipping stage and support better customer service.
Zetes supplied around 5,000 ParcelShops with Zebra GX420d printers and TC55 mobile devices running a GLS-designed mobile app, along with fully managed services such as helpdesk support, maintenance, repair, swap services, and remote app management. The solution was rolled out in just 9 weeks and enabled faster parcel acceptance and handover while reducing errors across roughly 5,000 locations in Germany.
