An Post ready for happy ePOD Christmas

An Post, Ireland’s national postal operator, wanted to improve delivery quality and efficiency across its busy nationwide network, especially during the Christmas peak. To meet its goals for real-time parcel tracking, reduced manual administration, lower paper use, and better customer service, it turned to Zetes and its ePOD solution running on Intermec CN50 scanners.

Zetes implemented a three-phased, managed-service ePOD rollout for all 4,200 postal delivery staff, enabling in-van scanning, mini track-and-trace, and real-time consignment traceability. The system confirms delivery within two hours, improves the doorstep experience, and was delivered on time and within budget, while also helping An Post cut paper usage and support future mobile working.
