An Post, Ireland’s national postal operator, wanted to improve customer delivery service levels, reduce manual administration tied to proof-of-delivery cards, prepare for future mobile technology, and cut paper use. To do this, it worked with Zetes on a 100% paperless electronic proof of delivery (ePOD) and track-and-trace solution for its 4,200 delivery staff, using Intermec CN50 handheld scanners.
Zetes implemented a managed ePOD service with a 3-in-1 mobile application for in-van scanning, mini track and trace, and real-time consignment visibility. The solution enables automatic delivery confirmation within two hours via An Post’s website, improves traceability and operational efficiency, and supports a lower environmental footprint through reduced paper consumption.
