Leading Cereal and Snack Company, a global cereal and snack food producer with a Rewards loyalty program, faced the challenge of re-engaging millions of inactive loyalty members and email subscribers from the past 1–3 years while avoiding deliverability issues and ISP reputation risks. The company partnered with Zeta Global, using Zeta’s Actions Database and hygiene/engagement processes to validate and prioritize inactive email addresses.
Zeta Global tested a 5 million–record sample, using its 350 million–record Actions Database and proprietary Active Engagement Flag to identify 1.6 million reactivation candidates and recommended staged sends (starting under 250,000/week and ramping over six weeks) to protect deliverability. Over a five-month campaign the client uncovered more than 100,000 active addresses to re-engage, grew the Rewards database more cost-effectively than new acquisition (which would have been roughly twice the expense), and gained clearer segmentation and deployment insights for ongoing campaigns.
