The customer, EDF, faced a challenge with its traditional, once-a-year performance review process, which was viewed as stressful and inefficient by employees and left a majority of managers dissatisfied. Seeking to transform this experience, EDF's Infrastructures and Cloud Services department partnered with the vendor Zest to implement a new, continuous feedback system.

Zest provided a flexible digital solution that enabled EDF to replace the annual review with regular monthly or bimonthly check-ins. This allowed for ongoing dialogue between managers and employees, the continuous adaptation of goals, and the quick identification of obstacles. The results for EDF included achieving overall team goals, improving manager-team relationships, maintaining a low turnover rate, and seeing high adoption of the tool, with even initially reluctant employees now actively seeking feedback.
