A Zerynth Case Study
Seares SRL, an Italian mooring system engineering company, needed to evolve its products with innovative IoT features to align with maritime industry trends and provide a sustainable, eco-friendly solution to traditional mooring problems. Their goal was to develop a system that was quiet, durable, and capable of remote communication and self-charging. To meet this challenge, they partnered with the vendor Zerynth.
Zerynth implemented a solution using its ZM1 IoT Module, Device Manager, and Dashboard to create the Seadamp Plus, an IoT-enabled mechatronic damper. This system harvests wave energy to self-charge, provides real-time monitoring of operational parameters, and allows for remote management via a custom dashboard. The results for Seares included a 12% revenue increase and the ability to bring this innovative product to market in under six months, all while ensuring a low environmental impact.
