Case Study: Seares SRL achieves real-time IoT mooring monitoring with Zerynth

A Zerynth Case Study

Preview of the Seares SRL Case Study

See how Zerynth enabled Seares to release an Innovative IoT Mooring System ensuring a fast development time and affordable costs

Seares SRL, an Italian mooring system engineering company, needed to evolve its products with innovative IoT features to align with maritime industry trends and provide a sustainable, eco-friendly solution to traditional mooring problems. Their goal was to develop a system that was quiet, durable, and capable of remote communication and self-charging. To meet this challenge, they partnered with the vendor Zerynth.

Zerynth implemented a solution using its ZM1 IoT Module, Device Manager, and Dashboard to create the Seadamp Plus, an IoT-enabled mechatronic damper. This system harvests wave energy to self-charge, provides real-time monitoring of operational parameters, and allows for remote management via a custom dashboard. The results for Seares included a 12% revenue increase and the ability to bring this innovative product to market in under six months, all while ensuring a low environmental impact.
