A Zerynth Case Study
Juul Labs, a company in the electronic cigarettes industry, faced a challenge in creating a high-performance, automated controlling system to test its products for defects. They needed a custom firmware and hardware platform with deterministic timing for data acquisition and the ability to update firmware remotely. Their existing process was manual and spread across multiple locations.
Zerynth provided Juul Labs with a customized solution based on Zerynth OS, a real-time operating system that allows for development in both Python and C. This enabled the creation of a modular tool that automated firmware updates over the air and achieved highly accurate, 12-millisecond data acquisition from 10 simultaneous sensors. As a result of working with Zerynth, Juul Labs increased efficiency with 100% automated updates and boosted productivity with a 50% faster code development cycle.
