RS Components, a global distributor of semiconductors, automation and control, electrical, test and measurement, tools and consumables, needed a way to improve visibility and efficiency across its warehouse operations in Milan without making invasive changes to its automation system. Zerynth provided the smart warehousing solution, using the 4ZeroBox with Zerynth OS and Zerynth Device Manager to support retrofitting and energy-saving use cases.

Zerynth’s system extracted process variables from the PLC and conveyor belt motors, processed the data to generate operational insights, and sent it to a cloud platform for visualization and real-time alarming. Zerynth also delivered end-to-end engineering services, from firmware development to a custom dashboard and user interface, enabling RS Components to monitor warehouse processes more effectively and respond faster to issues.
