A Zerto Case Study
San Carlos Apache Tribal Gaming Enterprise (SCATGE), owner of the Apache Gold Casino Resort in San Carlos, Arizona, faced an aging IT environment and no formal business continuity/disaster recovery (BC/DR) plan—shortcomings laid bare when the resort converted to an alternate care site during COVID. The organization needed to modernize infrastructure, meet tribal and state regulations, and satisfy insurance requirements while protecting mission-critical systems.
SCATGE deployed Zerto to protect roughly 120 VMs and critical applications, cross-replicating data between Apache Gold and the Apache Sky site 45 miles away; the solution was up and running in under an hour. Zerto simplified DR testing and compliance reporting, enabled faster restores, met insurance/state/tribal BC/DR requirements, and reduced operational overhead (about one FTE) and costs while positioning the enterprise for future migrations.
