A Zerto Case Study
WSECU, a 60-year-old not-for-profit credit union serving members across 24 locations in Washington, needed to stabilize an unreliable disaster-recovery stack that required frequent rebuilds. Their goals were to reduce maintenance and upkeep time and to protect large, busy databases and a complex IT environment as they modernized services and moved toward cloud and SaaS adoption.
Working with Zerto, WSECU implemented continuous data protection across 41 VMs (with plans to grow to ~80), automated failover testing and DR maintenance, and tuned the solution for large databases. The switch cut RPOs from 1–8 hours to seconds, reclaimed at least five hours of staff time per week, reduced testing time by 20–50% with automated reports, and substantially lowered overall DR upkeep, enabling faster, more reliable recovery and more time for strategic IT work.
