Case Study: Woodforest National Bank achieves automated disaster avoidance and seamless datacenter migrations with Zerto

A Zerto Case Study

Preview of the Woodforest National Bank Case Study

Woodforest Finds a Summertime Home for Its Data

Woodforest National Bank, a Texas-headquartered, 24x7 retail bank with more than 750 branches, migrated its entire datacenter every six months to avoid hurricane season and other disasters. Because its environment was 95% virtualized on VMware vSphere, traditional SAN- and host-based replication—LUN-level, storage-dependent, and requiring custom scripts—made failovers and partial recoveries complex, manual, and counter to the flexibility virtualization should provide.

Woodforest adopted Zerto’s hypervisor-based replication, which integrates with vCenter to provide VM- and VMDK-level, block-consistent replication and groups VMs into virtual protection groups for application-consistent failovers. The storage-agnostic solution automated and simplified recovery, letting the bank “manage applications, not storage,” reduce complexity, protect more applications, and execute its planned datacenter migrations and disaster-avoidance strategy with greater reliability.
