Pulse Electronics - Customer Case Study

Pulse Electronics, a global leader in electronic component design and manufacturing, needed to minimize downtime for an upcoming data migration while also testing the move in advance because of IP reconfiguration concerns. Their previous backup solution produced painfully slow restores and an RPO of up to 24 hours, creating risk for business-critical systems and users.

Pulse implemented Zerto Virtual Replication (ZVR) to protect systems and enable live migration, moving 40 TB from the US to a Hong Kong datacenter with minimal downtime and pre-tested moves in an isolated “bubble.” The migration cut SAP latency for Hong Kong users, improved RPO from as much as 24 hours to mere seconds, and delivered migration capabilities in addition to disaster recovery, saving time and money.
