Kingfisher plc is Europe’s largest home improvement retailer (988 stores) and its central IT Services team (KITs) had virtualized the data center to increase flexibility and cut costs. Their challenge was to extend those virtualization benefits to BC/DR: they needed a solution that protected mission‑critical apps (SQL Server, System Center, ATG Oracle, BlackBerry, pension systems) with aggressive RPOs/RTOs and minimal impact to production across their store network.
