A ZeroFox Case Study
The Executive Protection Office (EPO) of a Major US Organization, responsible for protecting executives and monitoring digital channels, struggled with rapid social-media impersonations and manually searching platforms for fake or dormant (“egg”) accounts. With executives often absent from social media and others highly active, the team could not reliably detect or remediate threats at scale, so they engaged ZeroFox and its digital risk platform to automate detection and takedown workflows.
ZeroFox deployed its platform to identify and remediate fraudulent accounts, detecting 1,439 threats in the first two weeks (1,347 remediated, a 94% initial remediation rate) and, over time, identifying 5,089 threats with 4,744 issues remediated and 122 impersonator accounts taken down — including as many as 122 in a single day. ZeroFox’s automation quadrupled takedown effectiveness, stopped “egg” accounts before they activated, streamlined executive reporting, and saved the EPO countless manual hours while enabling evidence collection for enforcement.
