A Zerocopter Case Study
UMCG, the University Medical Center Groningen, is a large hospital organization with more than 12,000 employees, thousands of patients, and a wide range of digital systems and data streams to protect. Information security is a top strategic priority, and the challenge was to keep security continuously aligned with fast-changing risks across care, research, education, and training. To strengthen this, UMCG partnered with Zerocopter and its continuous online security testing service.
With Zerocopter, UMCG first ran a pilot to compare continuous testing with traditional pentesting, then moved into an ongoing partnership. Zerocopter reviews findings, filters out false positives, and only escalates reports that are truly necessary, reducing unnecessary workload for UMCG’s team. The result has been a pleasant and effective cooperation that helps UMCG manage security more efficiently and continuously, though no specific quantitative metrics were shared.
