Case Study: PostNL strengthens cyber security at business speed with Zerocopter

A Zerocopter Case Study

Preview of the PostNL Case Study

Postnl and Zerocopter Provide Cyber Security Services at the Speed of Business

PostNL, the Netherlands’ largest postal and parcel company, needed to strengthen cyber security while keeping pace with a fast-moving business. CSO Gunther Cleijn wanted security services “at the speed of business,” with better situational awareness, stronger collaboration with the business, and more proactive sharing of threat information across organizations. PostNL partnered with Zerocopter, initially for its responsible disclosure program and later for bug bounty initiatives, with an eye toward a faster alternative to traditional pentesting.

With Zerocopter, PostNL expanded its vulnerability-discovery approach and built closer engagement with ethical hackers who not only reported findings but also offered practical remediation advice. The result was stronger commitment from participating hackers, improved support for PostNL’s security efforts, and a more agile way to identify and address risks. While no hard metrics were disclosed, PostNL reported being very happy with the cooperation and noted that Zerocopter helped improve its digital risk profile and ability to work directly with the business.
