Washington State Department of Agriculture uses Zerion to track and monitor over 150 invasive, noxious weeds within 38 counties across the state

The Washington State Department of Agriculture needed a better way to collect and manage field data for more than 150 invasive, noxious weeds across 38 counties. Its existing process varied by county and relied on a mix of hand-drawn maps, notes, and more digitized formats, which created inconsistencies, errors, and delays.

The Washington State Department of Agriculture chose Zerion Software’s iFormBuilder after testing 10 different solutions. The team used standardized mobile forms, real-time data submission, and an ArcGIS Online connector to send data into a single feature service, reducing manual cleanup and enabling immediate mapping and action. WSDA reported near 100% data reliability, a 100-user base license extended to about 275 users at peak, and ongoing use by around 50–75 users.
