A Zerion Software Case Study
The Hunger Project partnered with Zerion Software to tackle the challenge of scaling and modernizing its monitoring and evaluation across diverse program sites. Beginning with an iFormBuilder pilot in 2012 across sites in Malawi and Ghana, the organization needed to replace paper processes, standardize household surveys and program assessments, and manage device deployment while improving data quality across multiple countries.
Zerion Software’s iFormBuilder was rolled out for household surveys, program operations assessments, and partner records, with sophisticated survey checks, automated score calculations, and a move to Android devices to capture GPS data. As of July 2015 the tool had collected data on more than 7,000 households across nine countries and was later expanded to all 12 program countries—reaching more than 20 million people—resulting in cleaner data, significant time savings through automation, better geospatial data for mapping and analysis, and reduced reliance on paper.
