Root Capital, an organization that invests in the growth of agricultural enterprises, needed a better way to manage the farmer-level information required by certified cooperatives. In 2014, the team turned to Zerion Software and its iFormBuilder product to replace pen-and-paper surveys, reduce manual effort, and limit errors in its Mobile Advisory Services work across Latin America.

Using Zerion Software’s iFormBuilder, Root Capital digitized offline data collection, sub-form management, and reporting so cooperative field staff could sync data when internet access was available. By 2018, the program had reached 33 businesses across Latin America and an estimated 20,000 farmers, and Root Capital was expanding the solution to 250 users to support certification, technical assistance decisions, and lending analysis.
