A Zeplin Case Study

Pinterest - Customer Case Study

Pinterest, a visual bookmarking platform founded in 2010 that helps millions discover and save creative ideas, faced a slow, inconsistent design handoff process. Production Designer AJ Maiorano and his team relied on manual redlines that were time-consuming and varied by designer, and initially couldn’t adopt Zeplin while it was in private beta and only supported Sketch.

After joining Zeplin’s beta and using it on a new feature, Pinterest consolidated design work in a single, up-to-date repository accessible to product design, production design, engineering, writing, and PMs. Zeplin’s automatic redlines and color palette generation eliminated tedious manual work, improved consistency, freed designers to focus on pixel-perfect comps, and reduced handoff stress.
