ProCare, a Tampa-based transportation and language services company, builds and maintains its own scheduling and case-management application (PRIME). Before adopting Zephyr for JIRA, their testing was ad hoc—spread across JIRA, Confluence and spreadsheets—making testing manual and time-consuming, causing bugs to slip into releases and release dates to depend largely on gut instinct. They needed a structured but lightweight way to incorporate testing into their existing JIRA workflows.
By adding Zephyr for JIRA directly into JIRA, ProCare quickly gained test visibility, traceability and measurable test metrics (including burndown charts and defect severity/trend tracking). The team now reuses test cases, follows a repeatable process, prioritizes tests more effectively, and makes release decisions based on data rather than intuition—yielding faster cycles, greater accountability, fewer and less severe escaped defects, and easier adoption with minimal training.
