A ZeOmega Case Study
The Medicaid Managed Care Organization, a long-standing leader in care for underserved and chronically ill populations, needed a single health‑IT solution to replace two disparate utilization and medical‑management systems. It sought a configurable platform to reduce paperwork and administrative inefficiencies, improve care coordination, and support rapid multi-line, multi-state growth, and selected ZeOmega’s Jiva platform to address those needs.
ZeOmega implemented Jiva to unify utilization management and medical management with configurable business-level settings, care‑coordination tools, gap‑in‑care detection, and automated risk assessment. The client rolled out Jiva from March to November 2011 (about 90 days per line), self-managed most configurations with minimal ZeOmega support, cut IT consulting costs, and scaled from 780,000 to more than 2 million members while increasing concurrent users from 250 to nearly 1,500.
