Qualcomm, a global semiconductor company, needed a secure way to let design partners and EDA vendors access its collaboration environment without exposing intellectual property or making disruptive changes to its existing IT and security infrastructure. Its VPN-based approach required firewall and routing changes that triggered security reviews and slowed partner onboarding. With Zentera Systems’ CoIP Platform, Qualcomm deployed a micro-segmented secure shared environment with zAccess for remote access, preventing data leakage while leaving existing network and security systems untouched. The overlay network and centralized management console made it easy to provision, monitor, and reconfigure partner access, cutting onboarding time from months to days or even hours. Qualcomm said this improved its product development agility and allowed it to onboard design partners and EDA vendors much faster.
