Transit Systems powers 59 electric buses with Zenobē at Australia’s largest next-generation depot

The customer Transit Systems faced the challenge of transforming its Leichhardt depot into a next-generation electric facility to house Australia's largest single fleet of electric buses, a key part of the New South Wales government's commitment to zero-emission transport by 2030. Zenobē was engaged to provide its end-to-end solution to deliver this sustainably advanced depot, removing the financial, technical, and operational risks of the transition.

Zenobē’s solution included financing all assets, installing charging infrastructure, and deploying its proprietary dynamic software to manage bus charging and grid optimization. The outcome was the successful deployment of 40 new electric buses and the management of 59 buses by Zenobē's software, saving an estimated 3,744 tonnes of CO2 per year. The project received significant federal support and Zenobē will share its valuable learnings with the wider Australian bus industry.

Transit Systems
