Sizewell C cuts diesel use by 81% with Zenobē

The customer, Sizewell C, a major UK nuclear infrastructure project, faced the challenge of powering its construction site with limited grid access. They needed a reliable, uninterrupted power supply to maintain efficiency while also aiming to reduce their carbon footprint and diesel dependency. The vendor, Zenobē, provided a solution using its mobile BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) units.

Zenobē implemented a phased power deployment plan using a pair of 100kW/150kWh mobile BESS units paired with a generator. This setup optimized power schedules through 24/7 monitoring to closely match demand. The solution delivered an 81% reduction in fuel use, saving £23,000 in fuel costs and significantly cutting CO2 emissions for the client.
