AWS IVS cuts first-frame time from 10 seconds to 1 second with Zenlayer

Amazon Interactive Video Service (AWS IVS) needed to overcome connectivity challenges to provide faster and more stable streaming and playback experiences for its customers in hard-to-reach markets like China. To solve this, AWS IVS partnered with Zenlayer and implemented its Global Accelerator service.

Zenlayer's solution used its global private infrastructure to efficiently deliver and cache content, bypassing public network congestion. This resulted in a dramatic improvement for AWS IVS users: the time to first frame when starting a broadcast was reduced from 10 seconds to just one second, and the achievable resolution increased from 360P to 4K.
