Case Study: King's College London achieves flexible, scalable publishing with Zengenti's Contensis

A Zengenti Case Study

Preview of the King's College London Case Study

A public research university and a constituent college of the federal University of London

King’s College London, one of England’s original universities, needed to replace its existing CMS for kcl.ac.uk, its internal portal OneSpace, and a range of microsites. With a site that serves as its main communications channel, handling around 12 million hits per month across roughly 9,000 sections and 60,000 pages, the college needed a more flexible, scalable platform. Zengenti’s Contensis CMS was selected after a comprehensive review.

Zengenti implemented Contensis with professional services support, including information architecture design and phased content migration. The new platform enabled a devolved publishing model with around 500 editors, expanded template flexibility, and structured content for course search, including migration of thousands of courses, modules, and testimonials. As a result, King’s College London now has a more modular, maintainable site with prospective students able to find course information in one place.
