Varjupaik NGO, the largest shelter organisation in Estonia caring for up to 800 animals at a time and 4,000+ animals per year, needed to rapidly find temporary foster homes for urgent cases. To speed up that process, Varjupaik has used Zelos Team Management’s core management and quick-dispatch app since early 2019 to facilitate foster placements, initially for cats and since 2021 expanded to rabbits, rats, mice and dogs.

The system has 179 volunteers ready to foster, helped Varjupaik arrange 114 foster-home matches in 2021, and lets staff match animals in a matter of hours—improving response time and scale for the NGO’s foster program.
