W Hotel Modernizes Communications with Zello

W Seattle, part of Marriott Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, needed a modern replacement for its outdated two-way radios, which clashed with the hotel’s contemporary image and were bulky and costly to maintain. The team looked for a better communications option and chose ZelloWork, Zello’s push-to-talk app, to support day-to-day operations across the property.

Zello implemented a Wi-Fi and data-network-based deployment with upgraded access points and repeaters, plus a radio gateway to keep existing two-way radios connected during the transition. With Zello’s help, the hotel moved about 50 staff devices onto the app, eventually retired all radios, and expanded the network to 68 users. The solution improved convenience, supported remote management, and delivered a reliable communications system backed by 24/7 technical support.
