Customized Zello Feature Allows Drivers to Deliver without Interruption

TNT Express, an express freight company, needed to replace its analog two-way radios after new Australian legislation required a switch by the end of 2012. The company wanted a push-to-talk solution that would work with its existing rugged Motorola devices and support fast communication for issues like missed deliveries, overloaded drivers, and bad addresses. Zello’s ZelloWork platform fit the need.

Zello worked with TNT Express to create a customized automatic “Do not disturb” feature, allowing drivers to silence communications while inside customer locations or during signature capture. TNT Express deployed 2,500 ZelloWork licenses on its existing devices, and the team found the solution intuitive, functional, and easy to use, helping drivers stay connected without disrupting clients.
