Property manager Senaatti saved 7 person-years with Zefort's AI contract processing

Senaatti Properties, a Finnish property manager overseeing real estate worth 4.3 billion euros across more than 9,000 buildings, needed to update its document management system. Years of scanning contracts into changing IT systems had left many records with poor metadata, making contracts difficult to find and sometimes forcing staff to search through paper archives. Zefort’s AI-powered contract processing was brought in to help.

Using Zefort’s Contract Takeover model and DocAI engine, Senaatti Properties first trained the AI on a sample of 200 contract types, then processed around 75,000 documents with missing metadata. Zefort extracted key contract details such as type, parties, heading, and purpose, and also read text from PDFs and scanned TIFF files. The project eliminated an estimated seven person-years of manual work in just 30 calendar days and significantly improved contract data quality and discoverability.
