The YWCA Lethbridge, a nonprofit with an annual budget of $5 million, was facing significant financial challenges due to the high fees (nearly 10%) charged by their previous event management and payment platforms, Eventbrite and PayPal. These fees were a major hit to their budget, and they also found PayPal's reporting to be confusing. Seeking a free software solution for nonprofits, they turned to the vendor Zeffy for its ticketing and event management tools.

By implementing Zeffy's 100% free platform, YWCA Lethbridge was able to manage events, sell tickets, and collect donations without paying any platform or transaction fees. The solution's features, including a general donation QR code, discount codes, and follow-up emails, proved highly effective and easy to use. As a result, they saved $1,189 in fees, allowing more of the $23,792 they raised to go directly towards their cause.
