Zeelandia Boosts Baking Supply Efficiency and Reduces Costs with Zebra's Scanning Solution

Zeelandia, a global Dutch bakery-supplies provider, needed a more reliable way to scan and track pallets across its distribution network. Its wired forklift scanners were fragile, required frequent repairs and costly replacements, and caused manual re-scanning and shipment delays—driving up maintenance costs and slowing operations.

Zeelandia implemented Zebra FS40 fixed industrial scanners retrofitted to forklifts with wireless receivers from Bout Solutions and managed by Zebra’s Aurora software. The wireless solution cut downtime and repair frequency, reduced annual maintenance costs by at least €20,000, shortened scanner mounting time from eight to two hours, and improved packing, warehouse accuracy and on-time deliveries—reducing employee workload and boosting customer satisfaction.
