Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador Saves Time, Money and Reduces Error

Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador, a private university in Quito with seven campuses, faced the challenge of managing 130,000 assets across 43 buildings while replacing a slow, error-prone manual inventory process. It needed better visibility, traceability, and budget control, and turned to Zebra for an RFID-based asset management solution.

Zebra implemented a solution using the TC52 mobile computer, RFD8500 handheld RFID sled, and ZT411 industrial printers to streamline inventory and improve asset control. As a result, the university gained full visibility and traceability of its assets, reduced administrative effort, and achieved 70% resource optimization and 60% staff empowerment.
