Comercial Kywi S.A., a leading Ecuadorian hardware and home-improvement retailer, faced slow, manual shelf price maintenance that created congestion, inaccuracies and poor customer service—new shelf assembly could take up to three weeks and employees spent excessive time generating and printing labels away from the sales floor.

Partnering with NUO and Zebra, Kywi deployed Zebra TC20 mobile computers, mobile printers and supplies to enable on-the-spot labeling and price access. The change cut shelf assembly from three weeks to 1.5 days, allowed rapid processing of dozens of codes in minutes, reduced employee movement and errors, sped inventory and improved product availability and customer service.
