Multicenter, a retailer in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, sells about 40,000 items across 16 categories and needed to replace a manual paper-and-pencil inventory process in its distribution center. The company also wanted to speed up inventory counts, which previously could take 20 days. Zebra helped Multicenter address these challenges with mobile computing and printing solutions.
Zebra implemented MC3300 rugged mobile computers and ZT200 series industrial printers to improve inventory tracking and streamline distribution operations. As a result, Multicenter reduced fulfillment and reporting errors and accelerated order preparation and delivery, with the average operator becoming five times faster. Tasks that once took two to three days can now be completed in hours.
