The Noerpel Group’s Hannover‑Langenhagen logistics hub handles high‑volume, box‑by‑box processing for major retail customers and needed to speed goods receipt and onward handling. Manual handheld scanning was too slow and error‑prone for the volume and variety of packages, so the site sought a fixed industrial scanning solution that could reliably read SSCC labels at range and integrate with its ERP.

Partnering with Priority ID and Rose Intech, Noerpel installed four Zebra FS40 fixed industrial scanners and Zebra ZT411 printers to automatically decode labels, trigger ERP lookups and print processing labels. The system was deployed in days, delivered almost 100% read rates, halved inbound handling times (about 3 seconds per package), processed roughly 700,000 packages in five months and substantially reduced manual intervention.
