Logistics Operator Realises Advantages of Latest Warehousing Technology

ID Logistics Polska, a leading contract logistics operator in Poland serving retail, FMCG and e‑commerce clients from 16 logistics centers (over 670,000 sqm) and about 5,500 employees, needed to expand warehouse capacity and add e‑commerce piece‑picking to support growth from a key customer. With legacy Windows CE mobile devices reaching end of life, the company sought more ergonomic, durable and user‑friendly terminals to boost productivity and enable new fulfilment processes.

Working with Zebra, ID Logistics piloted and deployed a suite of Android mobile computers (including TC52 and MC33xx), printers and barcode scanners, paired with Velocity software to convert legacy apps into all‑touch interfaces that integrate with their Generix WMS. The 2,600‑unit rollout across 15 warehouses delivered faster onboarding, improved efficiencies and productivity, enabled single‑item e‑commerce picking plus verification/quality checks, and staff reported the new Android solutions were intuitive and easy to use.
