JAS Worldwide Improves Picking Efficiency by Over 15% with Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs)

JAS Worldwide, a global transportation and logistics provider, needed to reduce pick time and unnecessary walking in its warehouses while improving efficiency across many different product types and customer requirements. The company was looking for a flexible automation solution, and turned to Zebra’s Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), specifically Fetch100 Connect, to support unit picking in its facilities.

Zebra implemented an AMR-based workflow that let workers pick items, trigger robots, and swap full carts for empty ones with minimal travel. The results were strong: JAS Worldwide achieved a 15% decrease in pick time, a 50% reduction in employee travel time, and 35% labour cost savings, while also improving overall picking efficiency by more than 15% and enabling savings to be passed on to customers.
