A Zebra Case Study
Veritas spa, a leading multi-utility serving Venice, manages water supply and waste removal for councils, businesses and residents. After successfully automating meter reading with Lektor and Zebra devices, Veritas faced a new challenge: its manual meter-replacement process caused paperwork, duplicate data entry and difficulty tracking decommissioned meters, slowing operations and risking non‑compliance with replacement timeframes.
Veritas deployed Lektor’s GEA software on Zebra TC77 touch computers and ET56 rugged tablets, with Zebra ZQ510 mobile printers and GPS-enabled photo capture to record installations, signatures and exact meter locations; field teams also use appointment diaries, automated reminders and route planning. The change eliminated paperwork and re‑entry, improved data accuracy, productivity and customer satisfaction, ensured regulatory traceability, and is supported by Zebra OneCare next‑day device replacement for continued field reliability.
