Improve Control and Traceability for Garments and Bedding Across Multiple Hospitals

Swiss Medical Group, a healthcare organization in Buenos Aires, needed better control and traceability for garments and bedding across multiple hospitals. Zebra, working with partner Telectrónica, supported the effort with RFID and mobile devices to help address inventory and delivery challenges.

Zebra’s solution included the Zebra FX9600 and FX7500 Fixed RFID Readers, the Zebra RFD2000 Handheld UHF RFID Sled, and the Zebra TC20 Mobile Computer. The results included improved inventory management, higher workforce productivity, and significant operational efficiencies, including the ability to audit more than 20,000 garments in one hospital in four hours with just one person, while also reducing human errors by categorizing uniforms and bedding by color, size, and receiving entity.
