Foodstuffs (South Island) Ltd, part of the Foodstuffs NZ grocery co‑operatives, operates supermarkets, convenience and liquor stores across the South Island. Facing slow, legacy handhelds and time‑consuming pen‑and‑paper stocktakes, the company needed to upgrade mobile technology to speed on‑floor workflows, improve inventory accuracy and free staff time to deliver better customer service.

Foodstuffs involved store staff in device selection and deployed more than 960 Zebra devices (TC51/TC52 mobile computers, ET51 tablets, RS5100 wearable scanners) managed via SOTI across 140 stores.
