Dutch Valley Foods Solves Picking Challenges and Overdelivers on Quality

Dutch Valley Food Distributors is a family-owned bulk foods distributor based in Myerstown, PA, with a 200,000 sq. ft. warehouse, more than 300 employees, and over 5,000 SKUs delivered across 29 states. The company was hampered by aging Windows Mobile handhelds that frequently lost Wi-Fi connections or froze during picking, causing mis-ships, spoiled perishables, frustrated workers and escalating support tickets.

Dutch Valley partnered with CSSI to deploy rugged Zebra MC3300X Android mobile computers and a Device Lifecycle Management program. The new devices delivered rock-solid connectivity and a customized, familiar interface, drastically reducing mispicks and eliminating connectivity trouble tickets, speeding user adoption, and freeing IT to focus on higher-value projects.
