Danish Super Hospital AUH Deploys Zebra Technologies RFID

Aarhus University Hospital (AUH) is a new "super" hospital in Denmark designed to serve thousands of patients and staff with state-of-the-art facilities. AUH faced a major operational challenge: staff were spending excessive time locating critical resources—equipment, medications, patient samples and qualified personnel—hindering productivity and patient care.

AUH selected Zebra Technologies, Lyngsoe Systems and Systematic to deploy an RFID-based tracking solution using Zebra FX7500 readers, AN480 antennas, Lyngsoe’s Live Logistics platform and EDECS integration feeding Systematic’s Columna service app. A successful pilot cut search times, improved staff productivity, reduced errors and made it faster to find the right equipment or specialist, with a phased rollout planned to continue.
