Currys, the UK retail chain with 296 stores across the UK and Ireland, needed a better way to manage tasks and workforce scheduling. Store managers were spending too much time manually adjusting shifts, while the company lacked real-time visibility and centralized communication to keep task execution consistent across branches. Zebra and its Workcloud Task Management and Workcloud Scheduling solutions were brought in to address these operational challenges.
Zebra implemented a combined workforce optimization approach using Zebra Workcloud Task Management, Scheduling, Timekeeping, and Employee Self-Service. The results included streamlined task execution across 296 stores, the elimination of 90,000 schedule adjustments during peak seasons, and the recovery of about 900 management hours over two months. Zebra also helped Currys reduce email reliance, improve consistency, and free up more time for customer-facing work.
