Coop Switzerland Optimises Customer Experience in Sales Points with Zebra Scan-As-YouGo Shopping Solution

Coop Switzerland wanted to further improve the in-store shopping experience by upgrading its scan-as-you-go offering with a robust, easy-to-use device and integrated software. Working with Zebra and partner Zetes, Coop sought a modern solution that could support its Passabene self-scanning service across its retail network.

Zebra implemented the Zebra PS20 Personal Shopper with bespoke Passabene software, plus Zebra LifeGuard for Android and a Zebra OneCare Essential maintenance plan. The rollout reached more than 840 sales points, and shoppers using the solution had baskets averaging 3.5 times larger than traditional shoppers, while Coop also reported higher shopper satisfaction, lower maintenance needs, and better insights for future store decisions.
