Casar Streamlines Tomato Distribution With Zebra RFID

Casar Srl, a retail company in Serramanna, Italy, was losing visibility into several tons of tomatoes each year because operators were manually tracking loads, leading to errors and untracked shipments. To solve this challenge, Casar Srl turned to Zebra RFID technology, including Zebra readers, mobile computers, and RFID printers, with support from partner DSM.

Zebra implemented an RFID solution using the Zebra MC3190-Z RFID Reader, MC3300 Mobile Computer, ZT411 Industrial RFID Printer, and ST5500 Transition Reader. The result was almost 100% tracking accuracy, a significant reduction in untracked loads, easier integration with the existing production system, and improved productivity and customer satisfaction.
