Cardinal Logistics, a national leader in third‑party dedicated delivery services, was managing 233 distinct projects for 73 customers with varied requirements and a costly mix of devices and software. Staging and maintaining the right hardware and applications for each driver was consuming resources—about $500K a year in staging alone—so the company needed a single hardware-and-software solution that would let drivers service any customer without device swaps or reprogramming.

Cardinal developed Dynamic Workflow®, a customizable pickup-and-delivery application, and partnered with Supply Chain Services to deploy Zebra MC65/67 and TC55 mobile devices (rugged, WWAN, GPS-capable, 1D/2D scanning, Windows/Android). The combined solution enabled real‑time routing and updates, eliminated paperwork and staging, reduced capital and operational expenses, improved accuracy and customer visibility, delivered a rapid ROI, increased customer loyalty and revenue, and was later offered to other logistics customers.
